The Mandaue City Council has been taking up the proposal of P230.948 million supplemental budget for the benefits of the senior citizens, road maintenance and for others projects of the said council.

P74.4 million of the said amount is for other programs and projects in the near future. With the approval of Mayor Jonas Cortes, 28 million of the said budget is going to be for the city’s 14,000 senior citizens.

P21.6 million will be for the purchase of garbage trucks; P14 million to buy various vehicles; P20.7 million for heavy equipment and construction; P10 million for road maintenance; and 9 million will be for the automation and tax mapping.

If there will be no major objections, this proposal may be approved within a month or so.
