About 5,000 precinct count optical scanner or PCOS machines were delivered to the Visayas earlier today. The PCOS machines will be utilized for the May 10 automated elections.

Cebu Provincial Election Supervisor Lionel Marco Castillano said that a total of 3,065 PCOS machines and ballot boxes arrived in Cebu at around 10 PM last night. The 3,065 PCOS machines will be for the 3,065 clustered precincts in Metro Cebu and Cebu Province.

More PCOS machines will be coming in as extras. The machines were brought to an undisclosed warehouse in Cebu City. Personnel from the AFP, Smartmatic are keeping the PCOS machines secured.
